Record Industry's Demise to be Portrayed by HBO producers

The producers from HBO's The Wire are working on a film adaptation of Appetite for Self-Destruction, a book exploring the "Spectacular Crash" of the record industry written by Rolling Stone editor, Steve Knopper. The book's time-line encompasses everything after the end of Disco up to the rise of digital music downloads.
